Setting up a custom sending domain can be a little daunting. It involves DNS changes and MX records, say what?! But it can be very beneficial when it comes to email marketing because it allows you to send all your emails via your own domain, instead of ConvertKit’s. And sending via your domain looks better to Google, Yahoo and all the other email providers. Looks better = better deliverability = higher open rate = better engagement with your audience.
As part of the setup, I will handle the emails back and fourth with the team at ConvertKit and all the DNS changes that need to happen via your hosting company. The process usually takes 48-72 business hours from when the domain settings are requested from ConvertKit.
If you’re confused by any of the questions, feel free to email me: melissa@melissathorpe.com and I will help 🙂
